Frazier History Museum Announces New Partnership to Provide Free Museum Entry for BBBSKY Matches
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana (BBBSKY) is excited to announce a new partnership with the Frazier History Museum. This collaboration will provide free museum entry to all BBBSKY Matches, allowing Bigs (volunteer adult mentors) and Littles (youth mentees) to explore the rich history and cultural exhibitions at the Frazier History Museum during the coming year.
This partnership will enrich the lives of the youth in the ten counties BBBSKY serves in Kentucky and Southern Indiana by offering them educational and cultural experiences that inspire curiosity, learning, and personal growth. By providing free admission, the Frazier History Museum hopes to create opportunities for meaningful interactions and shared learning experiences between BBBSKY Bigs and Littles.
“We are thrilled to partner with the Frazier History Museum to bring our Matches this incredible and unique opportunity,” said Gary Friedman, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana CEO Gary Friedman said. “Experiences like these can help our Littles expand their horizons and gain new perspectives, while also strengthening the bonds with their Bigs in their mentoring relationship.”
Mentoring helps create positive outcomes and has a phenomenal impact on a child’s developmental and emotional growth. And it doesn’t take much time. Bigs and Littles typically get together two times a month, for a few hours, doing everyday activities, like seeing a movie, doing homework, playing games, going out to eat, or just hanging out. Now, they can also enjoy all the Frazier History Museum has to offer—completely free of charge.
“The Frazier History Museum is dedicated to making history accessible and engaging for all members of our community," Frazier History Museum president and CEO Andy Treinen said. “We are delighted to welcome BBBSKY’s Bigs and Littles to explore our exhibitions and participate in our programs. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to ignite the human spirit with thoughtfully crafted stories to spark curiosity about who we are and our connection to the future.”
