Macy’s Oxmoor Mall hosts breakfast, shopping spree for BBBS Littles
LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Santa came early this year for many Littles at Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana.
Macy’s hosted 20 Littles, along with their Bigs and guardians, for the annual Little Breakfast at Louisville’s Oxmoor Center. Guests were treated to festive helpings of pancakes and holiday games.
After the breakfast, Macy’s gifted each Little a $50 gift card they could use for Christmas shopping once the store opened. That’s where Little Sister Antonia was able to find a great deal on some cookware! Big Sister Michelle said Antonia is getting ready to move out on her own, and that the cookware will serve her well in her new apartment.

The partnership between BBBS of Kentuckiana and Macy’s runs deep, and has done so for years. As part of the retailer’s social purpose platform, Mission Every One, from November 1 through December 24, Macy’s hosted a special in-store round up (up to $.99) and online donation campaign to benefit our mission of serving young people through the power of mentorship to help create paths for future success. In its inaugural year, the partnership prompted Macy’s customers and colleagues to raise more than $4.8 million to help fuel life-changing mentoring experiences.
This November, for the first time ever, BBBS with select Bigs and Littles performed in the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Thirty Bigs and Littles from a nationwide talent search took center stage on the fan favorite Macy’s Singing Christmas Tree float this Thanksgiving. You can watch that performance below.
